But if you are decided to attract abundance into your life, you have to remove negative emotions from within you. These negative emotions can make your life negative and block the opportunities that might be helpful in making your life abundant.

Since emotions and thoughts are linked to each other, you also need to consider what you think if you want to attract abundance. Watch and guard your thoughts because your thoughts will stimulate you to speak what you think. So if you think negatively, negative words will also come out from your lips. As much as possible, change your inner being including the way you think of these things. Changing can be difficult but think of the abundant life it can bring you once you are done with the changing process.

In changing your approaches to life and your beliefs into positive things, there are lots of ways that you can use for your self. Some people use any of these approaches as well and some of them even use a combination of approaches just to achieve a better mental and emotional state. There are times you will find it hard to pursue, but the hardship that you will take will all be worth it once you achieved your goals of attracting abundance.

One lesson I regret not learning years ago is that aerobics isn't the only weight loss exercise going. Hard as it to believe, but when it comes to burning off fat resistance training may rank up there too.

Hmmmm. No wonder I was struggling with weight loss even though I spent hours on the stationary bike and treadmill. Yet for some reason my fat loss was more or less minimal to say the least. More of less limited to what you could say was "not so much".

So if you are laboring under the assumption aerobics are best for fat burning too maybe a second look is called for. To find out just where resistance training fits into the big picture here.

Yet haven't aerobic exercises always been touted for fat loss? For a couple of reasons. Aerobics are easy and not all that tasking compared to other options. And they're easy to understand. Hit your personal fat burning zone. Remain there for a duration of 35 minutes or so. And that's it.

And don't forget you can often distract yourself with TV, music or other types of entertainment when doing aerobics.

On the other hand, strength or resistance training is synonymous with work. At least so we think. Struggling to do 2 or three sets of 12-20 reps with weights doesn't even sound like fun. Which may explain why so few choose to get out of their aerobics comfort zone.

But let's do a reality check here and take a hard look at the list of relative benefits of cardio exercise versus strength training as defined. With an easily overlooked drawback thrown in too.

You burn slightly more calories with your cardiovascular routine than with weights or resistance training.

Believe it or not, depending on the amount of weight used and number of repetitions done you can burn more or less the same amount of calories as with an aerobic workout.

New Fish Oil Study Finds Risk of Heart Disease Cut by Omega 3

Fish oils have been celebrated for their health benefits for many years, and a newly published medical study seems to support those claims. In fact, the study indicates that the advantages of fish oils could be even more significant than first thought.

Doctors who carried out the study in the Ochsner Medical Clinic in New Orleans discovered that Omega 3 was particularly effective in the prevention of strokes and heart disease in people with no reported health problems (as well as those with cardiovascular problems) by up to 30% *1.

Nutritionists have welcomed the study with one stating that 'fish oils could be a way to radically reduce the number of heart attacks' *2. Currently heart disease claims the lives of over 110,000 people a year, making it the biggest killer in England *3.

As Omega 3 (also known as an essential fatty acid) cannot be produced naturally by the human body it must be consumed within the diet or taken as a nutritional supplement. Omega 6 is also an essential fatty acid, although the over-abundance of mono-unsaturated fats in the modern European diet means that it is actually too rich in Omega 6 *4.

The best way to incorporate Omega 3 into your diet is by eating two portions of fresh coldwater fish, such as Mackerel or Herring, every week, the Food Standards Agency recommends *5. However, the average Briton only eats approximately one third of a portion on a weekly basis.

Not only can fish oils be beneficial for cardiovascular and circulatory ailments, but they have also been linked to a range of other medicinal benefits. Some of these include eye health and joint health, which studies have indicated can be improved through an increase in Omega 3 intake *6.

The annual poll calculates that American citizens get, on average, just 6.7 hours of sleep a night during weekdays. Additionally, over the course of the past 10 years, an increasing number of Americans are getting under 6 hours sleep per night, and the number who get 8 (or more) hours a night is decreasing as well.

Living in our hyper busy, open all hours world, it's hardly surprising that we're sleeping about 1.5 hours less a night than our grandparents did little more than a hundred years ago.

There are plenty of distractions that no generation have had before. So, it's clear why sleep has gotten pushed aside. The widespread use of technology like the internet, cell phones, Blackberries and other gadgets allow us to be connected to the world when we should be sleeping, and to do things at any time, anywhere.

In another piece of research, it was reported by the American Psychological Association that just over half of 7,000 people interviewed lost sleep at night due to stress.

Unfortunately, not getting sufficient sleep leaves most of us experiencing irritability and fatigue, as well as leading to impaired work performance, lackluster thought processes and questionable decision making.

You may have heard about good and bad kinds of stress. Good kinds of stress are things like moving to a new home, tying the knot, or having a newborn to look after. Examples of bad kinds of stress are illness, death, or dealing with bullies at school or at work.

You may notice that you are more anxious, sweaty, fearful, your heart is racing, or you feel dizzy. These are some of the psychological and physical effects of stress.

Stress is known for decreasing your body's immune system and ability to fight infection, so you may notice that you experience more colds than is normal. It can leave you feeling very tired and exhausted, both mentally and physically. These are some things that you may notice, but what you may not notice is that your heart is having to work harder during times of stress. Your blood pressure goes up, as does your blood sugar, and your heart rate. These occur as the result of two hormones in your body.

Things that you may not notice, in addition to the high heart rate, is that your blood pressure will go up, and your blood sugar levels rise. These things are the result of two hormones in your body, called adrenaline and cortisol. When the stress is not turned off, they continue to be secreted. Adrenaline and cortisol are helpful for dealing with short-term stress events for supplying your body with the necessary oxygen and nutrients needed to deal with the stressful situation. However, when these hormones continue to be secreted, your body does not shut itself off. Your heart is working steadily and more forcefully than it has to, and this is what can harm it. Fatty plaques are increased in the heart's arteries, and your heart can become weaker over time. Often, people will have heart attacks during times of prolonged stress.

That is why it becomes so important to recognize that you are stressed, and to take steps to reduce the stress in your life. Figure out things that you can change in your life to get rid of the stress, and do things that take your mind off of the stress in your life.

In summary, making changes in your life will make a world of difference when it comes to your overall health and that of your heart.

One may stay married only in paper and by name but in some remote space one is enjoying the comfort of being loved and appreciated from an outside party. Emotional marriage becomes an incredible union especially between two strangers who, by some amazing accident, happen to cross their paths.

The feeling of belongingness to someone who cares and loves you is indeed an unimaginable experience. No amount of money can equate that enormous happiness of knowing that you are still a person capable of loving and being equally loved in return. Love is the most mysterious emotion that can move heaven and earth and move mountains. Being loved and needed is such a wonderful feeling with a fathomless meaning.

To forget someone once special is to find someone more special. But love sometimes comes from some strange places and it becomes beautiful when two strange people with individual differences come to accept each other and genuinely fall in love. Superficial love based on physical attraction may not last, but a relationship founded on a higher level is bound for eternity. It is a match made in heaven, supposed to be! Alas! They could have the right love, unfortunately at the wrong time for one is already committed.

Physical chastity is still maintained while emotions deep inside the lovers concerned are erupting and outpouring. Emotional entanglement is one of the most difficult situations to handle in case of an eventual break up. It is truly devastating much worse than a physical involvement. Cases of emotional infidelity often occur and this is merely on the emotional level.

If only pure and unconditional love prevails, then there shall be no room for such clandestine relationship. Thyroxine (T4), which contains four atoms of iodine. Triiodothyronine (T3) has three atoms of iodine attached.

The liver is responsible for turning thyroxine into its active form of Triiodothyronine. The levels of these hormones are what determine which type of thyroid disease is present. The main purpose of these hormones is to regulate how quickly your body burns energy. Changes in these hormone levels effect sleep patterns, weight, menstrual changes and erectile dysfunction.

Another type of hormone present in this process is TSH or Thyroid Stimulating Hormone which is released by the pituitary gland. If the TSH levels are too low, the thyroid is stimulated to produce and secrete additional amounts of hormones.

Symptoms:

Subclinical hypothyroidism is the term that describes the initial symptoms of hypothyroidism that can be overlooked and mimic other conditions. Symptoms include:

Fatigue Intolerance to cold Dry and/or pale skin Hair loss and brittle nails sore muscles, slow movements and weakness Hoarse voice a change in facial expression Depression Memory deficits and difficulty in concentrating Increased weight Constipation fertility problems and increased risk of miscarriage heavy, irregular or prolonged menstrual periods Bradycardia (slow heart rate)

The term Goiter refers to a swelling of one or both lobes on either side of the thyroid gland located on the lower part of the neck.

Causes:

Hypothyroidism is more common in older people. Women are more likely to be affected than men. Autoimmune conditions such as diabetes, vitiligo, and Addison's disease. Certain medications, such as lithium carbonate (psychotropic med) and amiodarone (for the heart) Inefficient amount of iodine Autoimmune Hashimoto's thyroiditis Problems with hypothalamus or pituitary gland.

Hypothyroidism is diagnosed by testing the blood TSH levels and thyroid hormone levels in the blood. A diagnosis of autoimmune hypothyroidism is usually determined by the presence of certain antibodies in the blood, which show as a problem with autoimmunity.

Treatment:

Treatment for Hypothyroidism involves replacing the thyroid hormones that are absent. This is easily accomplished by taking oral levothyroxine. The dosage will need to be adjusted by your physician to get the correct dosage for you. Regular blood testing will be required to check hormone levels. Medication will then be adjusted accordingly. Medication and treatment for underactive hypothyroid will continue for the rest of the patient's life. Once the correct dose of thyroxine replacement has been determined, yearly blood tests will be needed to ensure appropriate hormone levels are maintained.

Since fetal thyroid development does not occur until the twelfth week of development, the fetus is fully dependant on the mothers thyroid to develop the nervous system. Any mother taking medication for hypothyroidism can feel confident in continuing her medication during pregnancy as she needs it for her health as well as the health of her baby.

Anyone who is planning on having a baby and is diagnosed with hypoactive thyroid should let their doctor know of their future plans. This will allow for her health to be at optimum performance.

Its disturbing to me that most persons believe prescription drugs are the best medicinal cure. They will spend yrs. subscribing to this method and still wont resolve their problems.The reason they wont resolve their illness or disease is because prescription drugs are not the correct solution. In fact, in most cases, you can generate additional troubles by using prescription drugs.

Dont believe it? Then why is it, many times, that when you return to your doctor for another visit, you may get an added prescription drug to solve an extra problem? Your body has a built-in healing system. It will do its job flawlessly if you will only do your part by not abusing it. That means feeding it the correct foodstuff, exercising regularly, managing stress, adding additional nutrients to your daily regime and eventually weaning off of any prescription drugs you may be using.

I share this information with every person in my articles, I write and submit to directories, on my web site and also on my blog. I also share this information with acquaintances I know who have some major illnesses.. What is very disturbing to me is a number of of these friends are so brainwashed by their physicians that they dissuade them from believing the alternative method is not the best.

But then I suppose I should know because MD,s get very restricted teaching about nutrition in all their years in medical school.Only naturopathic, osteopathic and holistic MDs understand the value of natural medicine cures and remedies for those under their care.

The influence that Big Pharma has on this situation, the medical association beliefs and the United states Congress being brainwashed by both of these organizations contributes to the sad condition of the countrys health. The new administration of Obama in all probability will not solve this issue either. There is only one answer to this major health problem and it is education.

There needs to be legislation to produce some kind of an educational program to teach citizens how to become a healthier society. If we get that done we will have a healthier America. But if this ever gets completed it will be a miracle. You have to understand that by educating the populace to become healthier that means a great reduction of dependence on drugs will happen.

A lesser amount of dependence on drugs means less business for drug companies and also less business for physicians and hospitals. You see why I say if that ever occurs it will be a miracle. So whats the answer to this major health problem here in the US? Health researchers, alternative health newsletters written by alarmed physicians and other concerned persons convincing the general citizenry to take personal responsibility of their health and practicing alternative methods of cures is the only answer.

This is the sole way we will get this job accomplished. And believe it or not it is beginning to occur even though its a slow process. More and more people are learning that their doctors are not properly healing them and that prescription drugs are not their answer to wellness. It might take years for this movement to ultimately solve our health woes, but I believe it will in time occur.

What is a Low-Fat Diet?

Treating Constipation Naturally

There is no reason to use a laxative or other product to cure constipation, because everything you need is probably already in your house or can be purchased at any local grocers. Staying well hydrated makes stools moist. Both clean intestines and moist stools mean they are easier to pass and you are less likely to become constipated.

Foods rich in insoluble fiber include fruits and vegetables-best when they are eaten raw-and whole grains. Brown rice, wheat bran, and whole grain breads can also help add healthy fiber to your diet. Celery, cauliflower, broccoli, and cabbage are also high in fiber and help scrape and cleanse the walls of the intestines as they pass through the body. Alcohol and all the sodium in many soft drinks can actually dehydrate the body rather than hydrate it. And excessive coffee and tea often upset the body's balance and result in diarrhea.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you go to the bathroom as soon as you feel the urge. Some people hold off on going and this can cause stools to become dry and harder to pass. This is the most common cause of hemorrhoids. For the most part, diet and de-hydration are found to be the most common causes and so natural treatments for constipation would be to first make changes in those areas.

Colon cleansing has also become a popular way to clean out the body and improve bowel habits. For people who have a lot of mucus within their intestines and thus find it difficult to pass stools, a color cleanse can be helpful. Celiac Disease In Children

Celiac disease is a hypersensitivity to gluten. Also called celiac sprue, nontroptical sprue, and gluten-sensitive enteropathy, celiac disease is characterized by an extreme immune system response to the consumption of gluten. The immune system reacts by attacking the cells of the small intestines.

Though celiac disease may not be diagnosed until adulthood, it is often diagnosed during infancy and adulthood. Common symptoms of celiac disease include abdominal pain and diarrhea. Celiac disease in children often causes irritability.

Before the infant begins to eat food containing gluten, and it than with celiac disease may have normal digestion and growth. As foods containing gluten are added to the infant's diet, the infant with celiac disease may experience diarrhea, projectile vomiting, a distended abdomen, irritability, poor weight gain, and poor growth.

Poor appetite and poor growth are common effects of celiac disease in children. During adolescence, the child may experience less symptoms. Often, the symptoms reemerge in early adulthood.

The treatment for celiac disease is following a gluten-free diet. When a child has celiac disease, it is usually beneficial for the entire family to follow a gluten-free diet. This prevents gluten-containing food from being in the child's environment and saves the parents from having to tell the child they cannot have certain foods.

Some parents of celiac children experience anxiety when it is time for the children to attend school. Within a school, a celiac child is likely to be exposed to foods that contain gluten. Foods containing gluten will be present in the school cafeteria and also during student birthday celebrations and snacks if applicable.

A parent should discuss the child's celiac disease and need to follow a gluten-free diet with the child's teacher, school nurse, and school dietician. The process converting the ALA to DHA is particularly inefficient and therefore taking plant-based Omega 3 sources rich in ALA is not as good for us as DHA sources and EPA sources such as fish oil.

So the best Omega3 source is fish. Fish is the best DHA source and that this reason the American Heart Association recommends that we eat a minimum level of fish each week. However the FDA tells us not to eat too much fish because fish is contaminated with toxins such as Mercury.

Therefore it would seem that eating daily portions of fish is not a good source of Omega 3 fats. And of course that is expensive and makes for a boring diet. The best Omega 3 sources for anyone seeking to take daily Omega 3 fatty acids into their diet is fish oil supplements. The best fish oil supplements are not contaminated and are safe to take daily. Note that not all fish oil supplements are good ones.

Plantar Fibromas are fibrous knots than the arch of the foot. The knot occurs in the tendon that connects the heel and the forefoot. This tendon is called the plantar fascia.

The condition of having plantar fibromas is diagnosed as plantar fibromatosis. Plantar fibromatosis is often caused by an injury to the plantar fascia such as a puncture wound or injury from repetitive impact that may occur from running or other activity that puts repeated pressure on the arch of the foot. The injury can cause a tear in the plantar fascia which can cause a plantar fibroma to form.

Feeling a small, firm lump in the arch of the foot is often the first sign of a plantar fibroma. A plantar fibroma can be painless or the person may experience pain when there is pressure on the arch the foot from shoes or while walking.

A plantar fibroma is not cancerous. Many plantar fibromas will go away without treatment.

During the examination to diagnose a plantar fibroma, the physician may press on the arch of the foot and the lump. Pressing on the lump can cause pain which may radiate down the toes. The diagnosis may be confirmed by using an MRI or biopsy.

If the plantar fibroma is not causing the person pain, the doctor may want to take a wait-and-see approach to see if the plantar fibroma disappears on its own. There are noninvasive and surgical treatment methods available for plantar fibromas that are causing pain.

Orthotics devices such as shoe inserts may be used to help relieve pressure on the plantar fibroma and reduce pain that is caused by this pressure. Over-the-counter nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication is often used for pain associated with plantar fibromas.

If the primary noninvasive methods fail to provide relief, other treatment options include steroid injections, physical therapy, and cryoablation. The plantar fibroma may be injected with corticosteroids to shrink its size.

Cryoablation is a process in which a probe is inserted in an incision on the arch of the foot and is used to freeze the area around the plantar fibroma. The freezing damages the nerves around the fibroma which stops the individual from being able to feel pain in that area. Cryoablation can also be used to treat plantar fasciitis.

Another possible treatment option is a surgical removal of the plantar fibroma. Surgical removal is not often recommended because it can cause complications such as overpronation or a flattening of the arch.

It is preceded by some tell tale signs of dryness, cracking and itching on the lips, that when left unattended will go on to become what is known as Angular Stomatitis, and is also referred to angular Cheilitis, Cheilosis and Perleche. Great Places to Ride Your Bike in Kentucky

Kentucky has some unique geographic interests that can make for some awesome bike riding. First of all, this state is home to the world's largest and longest cave system. It also has the longest navigable streams and waterways in 48 states. On top of all that you will find the two largest manmade lakes east of the Mississippi here. Spectacular scenery is just an added bonus to your ride.

There's a great bike trail in Corbin suitable for riders of all experience levels. It starts out nice and easy, headed predominantly downhill to Laurel Lake. Then it travels around the lake incorporating a few minor climbs and some switchbacks before entering an 8-mile run to the Holly Bay Marina. The final 4-mile stretch will bring you to the Corbin City Dam. A second trail in Corbin-the Cane Creek Trail-offers fresh scenic views with a bit more technical difficulty for riders who want more of a challenge.

Another trail with lots of variety is located not far from Frankfort. The Capital View Trails are well kept and lots of fun with some great challenges like rock gardens, drops, ramps, sharp inclines and descents, and sinkholes. As a result, these trails are also well used by local residents, so be prepared to have some company on your ride. There is also a deer trail that runs down to a creek that is perfect for beginning riders.

The Canal Loop near Paducah is an 11-mile loop featuring dry and dusty terrain with short climbs and rolling hills. There are several trails branching off the loops that can vary the distance or time that you ride. This fun and fast trail is well-marked and well-maintained, perfect for any level of rider.

More advanced riders will appreciate the Jenny Ridge Trail. Combined with technical and steep sections, the loop encompasses 31 miles of riding between Golden Pond and Canal Loop. You won't meet too many other riders on this trail, though, as the level of difficulty makes it attractive for only the most serious of riders. Along the way you'll appreciate great views of Kentucky Lake and some fun stream crossings, too.

Iron Furnace Cave Run Lake near Morehead is a very challenging trail for experienced riders. It's 9 miles of steep climbing with lots of switchbacks. Make sure your bike is in good shape to handle the climb. You're rewarded at the top with spectacular views of Cave Run Lake. Enjoy the descent on your way back down!

Twelve miles of trail near Louisville offer more variety for riders of different experience levels again. The Cherokee/Seneca Trail incorporates tight trail sections, stream crossings, mud, roots to circumvent, and some fast drops. Be sure to watch for pedestrians, though, as this trail is also used by hikers!

If you've always wanted to visit Kentucky, this state has much to offer bikers and anyone who just loves nature. Take a look at these trails to find the perfect fit for you, and then don't forget to stow your bike and gear for some great riding while you travel. You'll be glad you did!

Does Bacteria Cause Acne?

The mechanism that underlies acne development, especially in the case of acne bacteria, is poorly understood. Most often attribute acne lesions directly to bacteria. To this fallacy we owe the constant pestering which most of us endured as children. There was not a day that could go by without your mother or father reminding you to scrub your face. In those days, parents were convinced that the washing would mean no bacteria and oils to create acne. Present day teenagers who have experimented with the washing regimen will tell you first hand that it is not enough.

Let there be no mistake that acne bacteria plays a significant role in the development of lesions. It does not become involved in the process, however, until the hair follicle first becomes clogged. For this to happen, dead skin cells and other surface contaminants need to obstruct an open pore. The pore is nothing more than the opening of the hair follicle. The hair follicle acts as an expressway for sebum to travel to the surface of the skin. When it arrives, it helps preserve the skin's moisture.

When sebum can no longer flow freely because of an obstruction, problems start to surface. The skin is typically able to replenish itself by getting rid of dead cells. When the shedding cycle is somehow altered, the dead skin remains on the skin and starts to plug pores. The hair follicle now begins to collect sebum and the acne bacteria become highly active. With plenty of food (sebum) they multiply in tremendous numbers.

The bacterial activity that begins to erupt inside the pore triggers an immune response. The lesion now becomes inflamed and takes on the characteristic look of a whitehead, or a closed lesion. Our natural instinct is to pop these pimples, which more times than not worsens the problem. The bacteria is embedded further into the pore, and the likelihood of contaminating nearby pores is also great.

Acne treatments, above all, should focus on the primary culprit which is an improper skin turnover cycle. Prescription medications tend to be very good at treating this, such as topical retinoids. Dermatologists usually prescribe topicals for the bacteria and the normalize shedding. When the acne is unresponsive, medications that control sebum production are brought in. Overall, prescription products tend to be much more effective than store bought ones. If over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide does not suffice for your case of acne, you should visit a dermatologist.

Women of color who have chosen to wear their hair long with have it straighten or straighten it themselves and will wear it in an upswept style for a more formal look and casually down for a more casual look.

It is not too often that you will see afro American women with exceptionally long black hairstyles. Probably the most common when it comes to length would be should length or just below.

It has now become the habit to straighten the hair out completely with the hair iron then recurl it gently into a soft curl style that they have chosen.

One of the things that must be guarded against is women of color overusing these various products and equipment to achieve new black hairstyles. Although they have many options now with some great products and tools they can be damaging to the black hair if over used. This includes choosing black hairstyles that require a lot of pulling to them as this can break the hair as well. Eventually this will lead to a big problem.

The initial symptoms of plantar fasciitis are pain and discomfort at the heel which is called a stone bruise. If left untreated, plantar fasciitis gets progressively worse.

The pain will gradually worsen if the plantar fasciitis is not treated promptly. People with plantar fasciitis often experience the worst pain with their first steps in the morning. Untreated plantar fasciitis can cause a tear in the ligament.

Heel spurs can be caused by plantar fasciitis. When the plantar fascia becomes inflamed, part of it may pull away from the heel which triggers the formation of calcium deposits. Heel spurs are caused by these calcium deposits which form bony, hook-like projections.

The surgery to treat plantar fasciitis that does not improve with nonsurgical treatment methods is called a plantar fascia release. This surgery is rarely done because it can cause complications such as fallen arches.
